...to the GoTrack online application. The new vehicle maintenance reports will give GoTrack customers the ability to automatically trigger alerts when a maintenace issue arises. Maintenance alerts can be triggered by both mileage and time, so users can set the system up for an alert to "change the oil" at either 3 months or 3000 miles for example.

GoTrack, Inc. has provided the City of Olathe, KS with GPS vehicle tracking units and is providing a data push through the GEO RSS feed to the city's own application that allows citizens to monitor where the snow plows are in real time and where they have been over the last 24 hours. OLATHE, Kan. -- Olathe residents can now track the city's snowplows in real-time using a new website, the city announced Thursday.

The city's snowplows send information to the mapping system once-per-minute, which shows the user where in the city the snowplow is located.

In addition to tracking snowplows in real-time, users can also check the plows progress over the pasts 13 and 24 hours.

"The City Council believes we should do everything possible to ensure residents know how their money is being used," Mayor Michael Copeland said in a news release Thursday. "This is one more important tool to aid in that transparency and enhance our customer service efforts," Copeland said.
